Anna wins!

Anna Hazare is a social activist from India who can easily be called “the living Mahatma”.

On 5 April 2011, Hazare started a ‘fast unto death’ to exert pressure on the Government of India to enact a strong anti-corruption act as envisaged in the Jan Lokpal Bill, a law that will establish a Lokpal that will have the power to deal with corruption in public offices (you guys can look this one up, Google is flooded with this by now).

The government yesterday agreed to issue a formal order to set up a joint committee for drafting an effective Lokpal Bill and the Gandhian ended his indefinite fast today in the morning.

Here is my tribute to a man who dares fight for a billion people…

Anna has dedicated his life to the well being of society. He has no possessions, no bank balance and he lives in a temple!

This is all I could do to support this great soul…

Jai ho!
